Review: Montagne Jeunesse

Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a review on a product that I fell in love with a couple of days ago. I feel like I haven't done a review in ages. I've done mini reviews on other review sites but for some reason, I haven't been doing many for my own blog. LOL Well that is going to change! Plus I have been hauling like crazy lately. For some reason, the holidays always make me go shopaholic crazy with all the great deals right now. For all those shopaholics out there, you know what I mean! Be proud and stand strong my fellow shopaholics!

If you didn't know already, I am helping test products for Influenster! Keep in mind that I received these products complimentary to test through Influenster's 2011 Holiday VoxBox program. All reviews are my honest opinions. No one is paying me and this post is not sponsored in any way. I am just lucky that I was one of the chosen few to be able to receive a VoxBox and be able to test out products that I have never had the chance to try yet. Plus I am just helping spread word about these wonderful products that I have been honored to get the chance to test.

I made a post over a week ago of all the great products that I received so I could test out and review (both here on Luuux and on my blog). In that post, I just have pictures and a list of all the products that I am very excited to try out. You can click here to see my Luuux post and/or click here to see my blog post on all the products that I received in my 2011 Holiday VoxBox.

A product that I am going to be reviewing is a facial mask by the brand, Montagne Jeunesse! I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this in my 2011 Holiday VoxBox, courtesy of Influenster. I have been wanting to try these ever since I spotted them at my local Walgreens a few months ago when they first came in stores. Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Pac To-Ultra Deep Pore Cleanse in Kelp & Seaweed is a facial mask that is used to deep clean your pores and giving your face a clean and smooth feeling. These masks are intended to wash out any impurities that you face may have. First, you cleanse your face with your usual face cleanser. Second, you apply the product onto your face. After applying the product all over your face (avoiding the eye and mouth area), you have to wait at least 10-15 minutes or until its completely dry on your face. Final step is rinsing your face once time is up.

When I first applied the mud pac onto the my face, I noticed that the consistency of it is just like any other facial mask that I have tried. Its cold to the touch but you don't really notice that once its on your face. The color was like a minty-light green blue paste. Its smells so good. The smell isn't overpowering, so those with sensitive noses, don't worry! You can't smell it once its on your face. I asked my younger brother if he could figure out what it smelled like but all he said was, "It smells so good" and went back to watching tv. LOL

Right when I put it on my face, I could see it cleaning out my pores around my nose area. I started applying the product on my nose first and while I was working on my cheeks and forehead, I started noticing my pores more because it was cleaning them out. After I finished applying everything all over my face (while avoiding my eye and mouth area), I could feel it my face getting tighter around the edges. After I waiting for everything to be completely dry, I wash it off my face using warm water. Oh my goodness, after washing my face, this mask made my face so smooth and soft! I could tell that my face was clean. I didn't notice if my pores were smaller or anything because that would require frequent use.

Another thing that I like about this product is that is vegan, paraben-free, and animal-friendly because according to the back of the packaging, they don't "bash bunnies or add bites of animals." You can see that saying in my picture above taken of the back of the packaging. I also like how these are packaged in little packets instead of big squeezable tubes. I feel like these are more storage friendly and easy to bring with you when you are going to be traveling for a while like a vacation. Plus these are great to bring during those nights at a friends house because of their convenience and size. I really like how they have pictures of girls wearing the product with weird stuff featured on their eyes. Its pretty funny but unique at the same time.

Montagne Jeunesse has a bunch of different masks for different skin types. Plus they come in a variety of different flavours like Cucumber Peel-Off, Strawberry Souffle (I want to try this one next!), Passion Peel-Off, and so much more. You can find these are Walgreens, WalMart, CVS, ULTA, Kroger, and other retailers near you. These are usually around $3USD but prices vary by stores and region. Also stores sometimes have these on sale like 2/$3USD. To find out more about Montagne Jeunesse products, you can CLICK HERE!

I would definitely recommend these to those who love using facial masks. These are great to use after a hard day or when you just want to relax. Plus they make your face so soft and smooth afterwards, which is also a plus! LOL Also these are easy to find and are so inexpensive so that you won't feel guilty after you buy a couple of these! I will definitely buy a couple to try out the next time I am shopping at CVS!
